FAREWELL TO THIS SCHOOL YEAR

 TIME TO SAY GOODBYE! It’s time to say goodbye to this school year. I hope that you have grown to love the English language and its culture through all the plays, projects, songs, workbooks and stories we have worked with. Learning a new language is fascinating, and being able to communicate in different languages will connect you more easily with the rest of the world. You should be really proud of having opened that door to explore other cultures and ways of understanding life. As Shakespeare said, “The world is your oyster!”

CCL: SHEPHERD'S PIE

Shepherd's pie is a casserole made with minced or ground meat and vegetables in a rich gravy, topped with a layer of creamy mashed potatoes, and baked until golden and bubbling. The vegetarian version is called Shepherdess's pie, and it has lentils instead of meat.

Hampton Court Palace is located right next to the River Thames. It was built in 1514 for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. Later, it became the home of Henry VIII and the Tudor dynasty.

 Leeds Castle is a historic fortress situated on two islands in the middle of a lake in Kent, England. It is 70 miles from Canterbury. It is known as "the loveliest castle in the world", and it has served as a royal residence for six medieval queens and a palace for King Henry VIII.
