Shepherd's pie is a casserole made with minced or ground meat and vegetables in a rich gravy, topped with a layer of creamy mashed potatoes, and baked until golden and bubbling. The vegetarian version is called Shepherdess's pie, and it has lentils instead of meat.   

Hampton Court Palace is located right next to the River Thames. It was built in 1514 for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. Later, it became the home of Henry VIII and the Tudor dynasty.  

Canterbury is a historic English cathedral city. Canterbury was well known as a pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages.  

 Leeds Castle is a historic fortress situated on two islands in the middle of a lake in Kent, England. It is 70 miles from Canterbury. It is known as "the loveliest castle in the world", and it has served as a royal residence for six medieval queens and a palace for King Henry VIII.

  Brighton is a city by the seaside. It is known for its beaches. It has famous old buildings, trendy shops, art galleries and cool cafés.

 On the 19th of May, 1536, Queen Anne Boleyn was executed in the Tower of London. That is 490 years ago!

  🇬🇧 Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest lived-in castle in the world and home to the Royal Family. 🇪🇸 El Castillo de Windsor es el castillo habitado más grande y antiguo del mundo, y la residencia de la Familia Real. 

  🇬🇧 Hadrian‘s Wall was built by the Romans to protect themselves from the northern tribes in the 2nd century AD. It was 80 miles long. 🇪🇸 El Muro de Adriano fue construido por los romanos para protegerse de las tribus del norte en el siglo II de nuestra era. Medía alrededor de 130 kilómetros.

  🇬🇧 Stonehenge is a 5,000-year-old prehistoric monument. It was built by Neolithic people, using sarsen stones from 15 miles away and "bluestones" from Wales. It served as a large cremation cemetery and a solar-aligned ceremonial site. 🇪🇸 Stonehenge es un monumento prehistórico de 5000 años de antigüedad.
